Sara Ekern
Sara Ekern is from St. Augustine, Florida and began dancing at the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and The Dance Company. Sara is currently a senior at Point Park University. Prior to Point Park Sara has performed pieces by James Washington and Eugene Peabody. While at Point Park, Sara has had the opportunity to perform Jason McDole’s piece “Awaken” and Alexa Gajeton’s “Arrival.” Sara was a GUS® College/Pro Intensive dancer for two summers and is now a Gus Legacy Company member. Sara thanks her parents Lisa and JR for their love and support, as well as her brother Taylor. Sara believes that with patience, willingness and the right mindset to trust the journey, any of us can achieve our goals.
