Anna Czajun

Anna Czajun has trained extensively in classical ballet and modern dance in New York and in Chicago.  From 1972-1987 she studied at the Ruth Page Foundation, notably with Larry Long, Orrin Kayan, Dolores Lipinski and Richard Arve. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northeastern Illinois University with a focus in music theory, composition and piano.  Choosing dance as a profession, Ms. Czajun has performed with many dance companies in her native Chicago, including the Chicago Moving Company, the Joel Hall Dancers, the Arve Connection and the Chicago Repertory Dance Ensemble. In addition to her career as a performer, Ms. Czajun is a recipient of the Illinois Arts Council Individual Artist Award for choreography.  She created numerous dance works for many Chicago dance companies and independent artists. While with the Chicago Repertory Dance Ensemble, she was their Educational Resource Director, conducting dance workshops and creating lecture-demonstration programs nationwide for primary, secondary, and university level students. In 1982 she accepted a position on the dance faculty for the Latin School of Chicago.  During her twenty-nine year tenure, she taught the ballet and modern dance courses, and directed, choreographed and produced their annual dance productions. Ms. Czajun has been on the dance faculties for the Chicago Dance Center, the New School for the Performing Arts, the Lou Conte Dance Studio, Barat College, and the Ruth Page Dance Foundation.  She also served as Ballet Master for Gus Giordano Dance School for twenty-two years. Presently, she is Ballet Master and Production Assistant for Ensemble Espanol Spanish Dance Theatre, Ballet Master for Inaside Chicago Dance, and Master Instructor in Pilates for Balanced Body Teacher Training Program.
